Lego Star Wars Battles is essentially Clash Royale with a better sense of humor and no in-app purchases. Using an energy meter that is slowly replenishing, you put units onto the play area for each PvP encounter. Then, you watch as they wander off to engage in combat on their own.
You will be managing two decks at all times—one light and one darkside—collecting and improving cards in both, and you will frequently be able to identify each unit's Clash Royale equivalent. Although there are also original cards, Y-wings and TIE Bombers are the fireball spell, AT-AT and clone tanks are the enormous, flock of porgs and combat droids are spear goblins, and so forth.
Although it may lack some of the subtlety and finesse of its inspiration, it still plays a well balanced game, looks amazing, and has room for improvement as it gains experience.
