The Ramp, which is accurately billed as a minimalist skateboarding game, requires you to tap and release the screen as your skater moves through various halfpipe sections. You can swipe to perform tricks or press the grind button when they jump into the air.
Although challenging at first, pulling off sequences of tricks as you pop out of each side of the ramp is rewarding in and of itself once you get the hang of its timing. It plays like a rhythm action game.
The issue with it is that without any goals or scores, it quickly becomes formless. It is a fair deal to pay £2.49 to add three new maps to the game's existing free map, but there is no sense of metagame or progression.
You crave for flow? You just want to shred through a halfpipe without all the boring stuff? Say no more, The Ramp is your jam!
