In each puzzle in Railbound, you have to place sections of track so that numbered train cars arrive behind a locomotive in numerical order. You have to do this while avoiding Mario-style warp tunnels, barriers and points that are activated by switches, and sections of track that you can't move.
The cute, cel-shaded graphics and satisfying sound effects go well with the easy-to-use interface that lets you draw the track on the touchscreen and introduces new ideas without having to read anything.
It goes quickly from easy to mind-bogglingly hard. Its later "aha!" moments are definitely earned, but the puzzles are always a source of joy and mild amazement because they are so clever.
