Dungeons Of Dreadrock
iOS & Android, Free (Christoph Minnameier)
When you go into Dreadrock Dungeon to find your brother, you use swipes to move, use objects, and attack as you go down the 100 floors, each of which has its own puzzle.
It's clear that a lot of work went into the graphics, like the creepy crawlies that live in many levels and your character's tiny, bloody footprints as she walks away from the scene of a battle.
There are some problems with the way you control the game, but since the levels aren't very big, that won't stop you from solving the puzzles, which are well made.
- You have to dig your way through 100 levels that were each made by hand into the ancient depths of Dreadrock Mountain.
- Relive the fun of old-school dungeon crawlers like Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master.
- Play in short sessions that are all part of the same story. Fight and solve puzzles for hours.
- No MMO grind for sorting inventory.
- No silly procedural roguelike nonsense.
- No waiting around while searching in an open world.
