As more and more things, like Microsoft Office and Ring doorbells, work on a subscription model, it's nice when a service you already use gives you extra benefits without making you pay more money.

So it is with Netflix's tentative attempt to get into video games. Arcanium is their newest game. It's a roguelite deck builder with some elements of Slay the Spire and Hearthstone. Like other Netflix games, it's free to play and doesn't have microtransactions.

It has some bugs that need to be worked out, but is otherwise a good addition to Netflix's mobile games. The battles are surprisingly interesting and strategic, and the three lanes make them more complicated.
