Alien Isolation makes a surprisingly excellent mobile debut, perfectly imitating the creepy, green screen retro-futurism of Ridley Scott's masterpiece, replete with the arcane humming and clicking sound effects.
Sevastopol station's creaking, mechanically deficient mess, with its man-sized ventilation pipes and gradually forming clouds of dry ice, is the ideal place for an extraterrestrial on the prowl because everything there gives off the impression of being evil.
It runs smoothly in terms of graphics on an iPad Pro, and Feral Interactive's commitment to excellence is visible in each frame. It still has plot and pace issues, as it should, but with all three pieces of DLC included, the outstanding value for the money makes it difficult to pass up.
