How to View Your Wi-Fi Network Password on iPhone and iPad
Apple introduced this feature in iOS 16 so that you may see the password for the Wi-Fi network to which you are presently connected. Just keep reading to find out the steps.
Strangely, before to the release of iOS 16, there was no method for an iPhone user to see the password they had used to connect to a Wi-Fi network if they had forgotten it.
This could be a major pain if you needed to give out your network password to someone who didn't have an Apple device and therefore couldn't use the built-in Share Wi-Fi feature.
Thankfully, Apple fixed this issue in iOS 16 by introducing a new password option in the Wi-Fi network menu. Learn where to look now!
- On your iPhone, launch the Settings app.
- Connect to the network using Wi-Fi.
- Use the connected network as a resource.
- To view it, select the Password menu item and then enter your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
Click the Copy button in the popover to save the password for later use, or simply recite it aloud to the person you wish to share it with.
