Hungry Shark franchise amasses over a billion downloads, making it Ubisoft's most downloaded mobile game
The Hungry Shark games from Ubisoft have been around for a long time. There are a lot of games in the franchise that can be played on desktops and phones, and there is even one VR game. It is based on the simple idea of sharks eating a lot all over the oceans of the world.
I don't know about the sharks, but I know that people were hungry for more of the Hungry Shark games because they have been downloaded more than one billion times on mobile devices. This is a huge accomplishment, and it makes it the most downloaded mobile game series from Ubisoft to date.
In 2009, the London-based company Ubisoft Future Games came up with the idea of sharks going crazy. Only seven people worked on the first Hungry Shark game, which came out in 2010. It was so popular that two more games were made after it, making a trilogy, before Hungry Shark Evolution came out in 2012.
When the series switched to a freemium model, the number of people who played it grew by a huge amount. Hungry Shark Evolution is now in its tenth year, and more than 630,000 people have downloaded it. Ubisoft bought the franchise in 2013, and Hungry Shark World came out in 2016.

Even though it's been six years, Hungry Shark World still has events. On November 8, they had a Baby Sharks Event where players had to save baby sharks to protect the ocean's ecosystems for the future. A partnership with Glowing Glowing Gone was also set up to make sure that the campaign goes even further.
