You may reset all of the access to your data and location that you have given to others with the new Safety Check feature in iOS 16. According to Apple, the program's goal is to assist victims of intimate relationship or domestic abuse. The functionality may be used as shown below.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap through to Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down and select Safety Check.

You have two choices on the Safety Check starting screen: Manage Sharing & Access and Emergency Reset. (Note the Quick Exit button, which immediately returns you to the Home Screen on your iPhone in case you run the risk of being caught using it.)

Emergency Reset

Using only a few touches, you can lock down your iOS device with the one-tap option known as Emergency Reset.

When you use Emergency Reset, all sharing with all users and apps is immediately terminated. This includes details such as geographic location, activity, residential information, photo albums, and more.

You can reset your Apple ID and password to prevent anyone from accessing your account using Emergency Reset, which also allows you to delete all emergency contacts from your iPhone.

Manage Sharing

You can choose the Manage Sharing & Access option if your issue is not urgent. In order to prevent you from being surreptitiously watched or observed, this also contains a tour that enables you to get an overview of everything you're sharing on your iPhone.

These screens provide details on the apps that have access to your data as well as who you've shared your data with and what data those apps have access to. To immediately stop sharing, you can select specific people or applications and select the "Stop Sharing" option.

There is also a list of all the third-party applications you have installed, along with tools for controlling the data they have access to. You can check each app's permissions individually or by information like Bluetooth, location, contacts, and more.
