iOS 16: How to Enable or Disable Deletion Notifications for an iCloud Shared Photo Library

With iOS 16, you can make a shared iCloud Photo Library and invite up to five friends who also own Apple products to view, add, and edit photos.

If you've previously established an iCloud Shared Photo Library that your friends can use, iOS 16 will alert you if a photo you added to the library is removed.

If you already get these notifications, you can choose to turn them off instead. How to switch them on or off is demonstrated in the steps below.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Photos.
  3. Under "Library," tap Shared Library.
  4. Toggle the switch on or off next to Deletion Notifications to enable or disable them.

That's all there is to it, and your modifications will take effect right away. It should be noted that the shared photographs will be stored on the iCloud account of the person who established the iCloud Shared Photo Library.
